FRESHWATER ANGLING
The Olifants River system has the richest endemic fish population in the country. Endemic species like Clanwilliam Yellow fish, the "Rooivlerkie", Clanwilliam Sand Fish and Barnard's "Klipbaber" are not found anywhere else on earth. Please help to protect this fragileecosystem and educate yourself as to which species are allowed to be caught. Anglers can in fact help, by removing foreign species like Rainbow Trout, Carp and Bass.

Ceres Zip Slide Tours

This new "foefieslide" adventure is situated in the lovely mountains surrounding the Ceres Valley. A mere 1.5 hours' drive from Cape Town, it is the perfect breakaway from the hectic city life! Our Ceres Zip slide Tour offers 8 slides, totalling a length of 1.4km – this is the longest tour in Africa! The amazing rock formations and river form a perfect backdrop to a fun-adrenaline-filled adventure! You will be kitted up in a full body harnesses with state of the art equipment. Accompanied by 2 fully trained guides you will depart on our silent, battery operated carts into the mountain. Price includes drink during and after the tour. A short walk takes you to the departure point at the first slide, from where the breath-taking view reaches over the town of Ceres across the Ceres Valley. Here the fun starts! The slides vary in lengths from 110 meters to 290 meters! The highest point above the ground is 40 meters. We operate in most weather conditions and children from 3 years old can take part in this amazing adventure.
Ceres Zip Slide Tours

Our office is situated at the "Natuurtuin" at the foot of the Mithcell’s Pass at the entrance of Ceres town from Cape Town side (R46). We are open every day of the year from 08h00 to 17h00 and tours depart every half hour, the last departure is at 17h00. Our pricing structure as follows: Rate: R400.00 per person. Special rates for tour group bookings can be negotiated for 10 and more persons. Booking recommended.

Tra-Travallei Route:
3-4 star (9 hours) for experienced drivers. One-way with escape routes.
Recommended overnight stay - camping site available.
Citadel Route:
Start on the Koueberg Pass and continues for 14 km. These two routes can be combined.

 SCENIC DRIVES & OUTINGS
Citrusdal Cederberg Scenic Drives

One can drive from the town of Citrusdal in almost any direction and find spectacular views as well as various farming industries along the road. During August and September flowers can also be seen on these routes.

Bo-rivier pad (Upper river road)
Turn right at the 4-way stop when you enter town - 30 km to the end of the upper valley.

Ceres Gravel Road
R303 road to Ceres: gravel road to Ceres from Citrusdal through truly amazing scenery of the Koue Bokkeveld Mountains. 115km.

Hex River Road
Turn left at first 4-way stop in town, end of main road eventually becomes a dirt road o Algeria (29km) or Clanwilliam (58km). Some years excellent flowers.

Paleisheuwel Road
Turn off from the top of Piekenierskloof Pass and follow the dirt road on top of the Swartberg Mountains, between orchards, vineyards and fields. Beautiful views and mountain scenery.
Ends back on the N7 near Clanwilliam.

Road to the Baths
First road to the right after turning off the N7 to Citrusdal - 30 km.
